Invoice OCR software that reads every supplier's invoice.
Upload PDFs, scanned invoices or phone photos. ParserBee captures every field and line item and sends them to Excel, Google Sheets or your accounting tool. No template per supplier.
Invoice scanning software that turns a crumpled photo into clean rows.
A phone photo of a folded invoice with a coffee ring on it. ParserBee reads it the way your bookkeeper would, and you get the fields, not a picture.
One template. Every supplier's layout.
Classic OCR needs a template per supplier that says where each value sits. ParserBee reads by meaning, so a new supplier, a German invoice or a receipt-style bill lands in the same columns, with no set-up.
Invoice data capture with no set-up work.
Upload one sample invoice. The AI template builder reads it and builds the fields for you in seconds: invoice number, dates, supplier, totals and every line item. Or start from the ready-made invoice template. Nothing to draw, no rules, no code.
- The AI builds your fields from one sample invoice
- Line items come out as rows, ready for Excel
- Want one more field? Name it in a few words
See it on one invoice first: the free invoice data extraction tool needs no account.
Run invoice OCR on your own invoice. Right here.
This is the real free invoice parser. Drop a PDF, scan or photo (up to 8 pages) and see the fields in seconds. No signup.
From messy documents to clean rows.
Accounts payable OCR for the tools you already have.
ParserBee is not an AP suite. It does one job: it reads your invoices and gets the data out. Approvals and payments stay in your accounting software. The data goes straight into Google Sheets or Airtable, or into QuickBooks, Xero or your ERP through Zapier, Make, n8n, a CSV file or the API.
Building it yourself? The invoice OCR API returns the same fields as JSON, with Python and Node.js libraries.
How much typing does invoice OCR take off your team?
Your own estimates. The result is typing time only; checking the extracted rows still takes a few seconds per invoice.
The same account reads the rest of your paperwork.

Invoice OCR questions
What is invoice OCR software?
Invoice OCR (optical character recognition) software reads an invoice image or PDF and turns it into data: the invoice number, dates, supplier, tax, totals and line items. Older OCR only gives you the raw text. ParserBee also works out which value is which, so you get named fields you can put straight into a spreadsheet or an accounting tool.
Do I need a separate template for every supplier?
No. One Parser Template covers every supplier. ParserBee reads each invoice by meaning, not by the position of a value on the page, so a new supplier or a redesigned invoice does not need any set-up.
What data can it capture from an invoice?
The ready-made invoice template captures about 30 fields: invoice number, invoice and due dates, PO number, currency, the supplier's and customer's names, addresses and tax IDs, subtotal, discount, shipping, tax, total, amount paid, amount due, payment terms and bank details. Each line item comes out with item code, description, quantity, unit, unit price, tax rate and line total. You can remove fields you do not need or add your own in plain English.
Can it read scanned and photographed invoices?
Yes. It reads digital PDFs, scans and phone photos (PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC). Clear images give the best results, but skewed scans and photos taken at an angle work too.
Can it read multi-page invoices and their line items?
Yes. A multi-page invoice is read as one document, and the line items from every page come out as rows in one table. Paid plans read PDFs of up to 24 pages, the free trial up to 12. Put one invoice in each file: when a PDF holds several invoices, only the first is read.
Does it read invoices in other languages?
Yes. It reads invoices in languages such as Spanish, German and French, and it reads amounts in the number style of the invoice, so 1.234,56 on a European invoice comes out as 1234.56.
Can it pick up invoices from an email inbox or a Drive folder?
Does it work with QuickBooks, Xero or my ERP?
Yes, through Zapier, Make, n8n or the invoice OCR API, or with a CSV import. ParserBee has no direct QuickBooks or Xero connector today. Google Sheets and Airtable are built in.
What is the difference between invoice OCR and invoice processing software?
Invoice OCR is the capture step: it gets the data out of the document. Invoice processing (AP automation) software also handles matching, approvals and payments. ParserBee does capture only, so approvals and payments stay in your accounting or AP tool. If you need a full suite, our guide to invoice automation software compares the options.
How accurate is it?
Accuracy is highest on clear, typed invoices. You see every extracted row in Data Lab before you export, so you can check it before it reaches your books. Clear field descriptions in your template improve results on unusual layouts.
How do I set it up?
Sign up, then upload one sample invoice and let the AI build your Parser Template (or pick the ready-made invoice template). Check the fields, run a test, then upload the rest of your invoices in Data Lab and export them to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets. Your first invoice is ready in about 2 minutes.
How much does invoice OCR cost with ParserBee?
New accounts get 25 free pages, no credit card. Paid plans start at $29 a month for 250 pages; see pricing. One page of an invoice uses one page credit. To try one invoice without an account, use the free invoice parser.
Is my data used to train AI?
No. Your documents are never used to train AI models, and files travel to ParserBee over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
How does ParserBee compare with other invoice OCR tools?
We tested ten tools on real invoices, scans and photos in our list of the best invoice OCR software, including where another tool is the better buy.
