What is a purchase order parser?
A purchase order parser reads a PO, in any layout a supplier or buyer produces it, and converts it into structured data: named fields such as PO number, line items, quantities, and total, ready to load into a spreadsheet or an ERP. It answers "what is a purchase order" from a data perspective too: a PO is a buyer's formal, numbered commitment to purchase specific items at specific prices and terms, and parsing is the process of turning that document back into the data it represents. Why purchase orders are hard to parse

- Line-item tables span pages. Large orders run to multiple pages, and totals have to reconcile against every line, not just the ones on the first page.
